The Lord called Virginia home to be with her loving husband and daughter on January 8, 2017.
Virginia was born November 23, 1927 in Oakland CA. to Ragnar and Lucille DeBourg. She grew up in Red Lodge, Anaconda and Deer Lodge, MT. She graduated from Deer Lodge High School in the mid 1940's. Always the prankster, Virginia once stole the Sheriff's horse so she could ride in the Deer Lodge annual parade.

On June 14, 1946 Virginia married the love of her life, Art. They enjoyed 67 years of marriage. Virginia was a wonderful and understanding mother to her five children. In 1989 she retired from North Central High School as the "Bookroom Grandma". Art and Virginia enjoyed many years of square dancing. They cut an awesome rug on any dance floor. After retirement they enjoyed traveling in their motorhome, eventually becoming snowbirds in Stanfield, AZ. Virginia loved playing slot machines at the casino and Monday night Bingo at the Eagles with her friend Rose. She hosted Saturday night card parties for her wonderful lady friends at Contempo Mobile Home Park.
Virginia was preceded in death by her husband, Art and daughter, Terrie Gregerson. She is survived by daughters, Sharon Minton (Bob), Sue Bailey, Melanie Triplett (Tom) and Becky Bicandi. She also is survived by 11 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren.
The family would like to thank Virginia's wonderful, supportive friends at Contempo for their unconditional love and the 6th floor staff and physicians at Sacred Heart for the compassion and care they showed to their Mom.
Pastor Happy Watkins will officiate her memorial service at Hennessey Funeral Home, 2203 N. Division on Saturday, January 21st at 11:00 am. A reception will follow at Hennessey Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Hospice of Spokane.
