Kathy was born on January 19, 1953 in Spokane, WA to Robert and Evelyn Easley. The family lived in Spokane for 7 years, Pullman, WA for 3 years followed by over 45 years in Yakima, WA area where she attended A.C. Davis High school, married, then began her family. Later she went to school and became a barber and operated her own shop in Terrace Heights, WA, then a shop in her home in Selah, WA. She was a devout caretaker of her children, grandchildren and family. She and her second husband, Bill Darrah, adopted her granddaughter, Makenzie, and she moved to Spokane, WA in 2011 to care for her aging father. Her husband retired from his job and joined her in Spokane when she became ill. Kathy enjoyed spending time with family, travelling and camping in their 5th wheel. She was an excellent cook and loved canning and kept the family supplied with jelly, jam and many other "goodies". She had a loving, giving heart and many friends who she kept in touch with over the years and was loved by so many people. She was a generous, caring woman and fought hard against the cancerous brain tumor that took her life. She is survived by her husband William Darrah, daughter Makenzie, sons John J. Gabbard - Spokane, Eric (Sharron) Gabbard- Tokeland, WA, Kirk Gabbard- Puyallup, WA, three grandchildren, brothers Thomas (Julie) Easley- Redmond , WA, William Easley-Spokane, Daniel (Patty) Easley-Poulsbo, WA, parents Robert Easley-Spokane & Evelyn Easley-Spokane. She was preceded in death in 2013 by her brother Edward Easley. A memorial service will be held at Hennessey Funeral Home, 2203 N. Division at 3 PM on Saturday, December 17, 2016
