Karen Riedlinger passed away peacefully December 12th, 2016. She took her last breath with her family by her side. Karen was born on December 6th,1940 in Spokane Washington to Clark and Dorris Peterson. They homesteaded in Alaska for most of Karen's Early Childhood. They were the 1st civilians recorded to travel across the Alaskan Alkan Highway.Karen moved to Spokane and lived with relatives while attending Northwest Christian High School, where she graduated from. She married the love of her life John Riedlinger in 1952. They had three children. She had many grandkids and great-grandkids that she helped take care of and loved spending time with. For Karen's adult life she was mainly a homemaker and caregiver and helped raise her grandkids. Of the many jobs, her favorite was raising her grandkids.

Karen was preceded in death by her parents, Clark and Dorris, and brothers Dale and Merrill Peterson . She is survived by her husband John, brother Dennis Peterson, Sons Steve(Mari)Riedlinger, Scott (Lori) Riedlinger, daughter Cindy (Jay) Spangenberg and many cherished grandkids and great-grandkids. A Memorial service will be held at 1 p.m., on Tuesday December 27th at the Intersection Church, 905 N. McDonald Rd. With a reception to follow.
