Judy (Zeimantz) Marker
Our loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt, sister and dear friend, went to rest peacefully with God, and to sing with the Angels on December 31, 2016. Judith was born December 16, 1940 to Richard and Jeanette Zeimantz in Spokane, Washington. She grew up on a small farm in Sunnyside, WA and graduated from high school at Rosalia, Washington in 1958. Following graduation she attending college at Eastern Washington University in Cheney, WA where she met Francis "Buzz" Marker. They were married October 29, 1960. Buzz and Judy moved to Nezperce, Idaho and ran the family farm. There they raised five children; John, Debbie, Bill, Joe and Tricia. As a child, Judy loved horses, camping and sports, which was evident when raising her family. She was active in 4-H, took her family on many camping adventures and attended all her kids sporting events. Judy and Buzz ran the family farm until 1981 when they sold it. At that time Judy started an in-home daycare business in Nezperce, which she absolutely loved. She was a guiding influence on many of the children in the Nezperce community. She lovingly referred to her daycare children as "Judy's Kids" and they all loved her. In 1998, Buzz and Judy divorced, and Judy chose a new life path in Spokane, Washington. She attended Apollo College and graduated as a Certified Medical Assistant. After graduation Judy began working for Inland Imaging and served there until her retirement in 2011. Judy's greatest love was her grandchildren. She attended as many sporting events as possible. She was so full of love and pride for each and every one of them. She often boasted of their accomplishments. Judy was especially delighted by the birth of her first great-granddaughter Quincee Coursey. Judy will be deeply missed by all whose lives she has touched. Judy is survived by her siblings and their families; Mike and Veronica Zeimantz of Clarkston; Don and Fran Zeimantz of Nampa; and Gary and Lynn Conner of Cosmopolis.
